- Jurassic Discovery
If you’re a fan of dinosaurs – and who isn’t? – then you’re in for a treat at Jurassic Discovery. Perfect for any dinosaur enthusiast, Jurassic Discovery offers a world-class dinosaur exhibition. It’s like an interactive dinosaur park on the Jurassic Coast, where families can explore life-size animatronics, dig for fossils, and step back into the world of the dinosaurs. Children can also become a Dinosaur Detective with the Jurassic activity booklet and ‘Poo Trail’ for all ages to get involved with!
This exhibition features over 15 animatronic dinosaur models purchased from the natural History Museum in London, including two roaring T-Rexes, tiny hatchling dinosaurs and an Edmontosaurus that greets you at the door as you arrive. They move, blink, roar and growl. Children of all ages love it, and so do adults who “didn’t expect it to be that loud.” There is even a mini-movie showing a short documentary on the extinction event that wiped these giants out, lending its name to the exhibition – ‘The Last Day of the Dinosaurs’.
Outside, in the Jurassic Garden, there is a brand new giant Dinosaur Dig where kids can become palaeontologists for the day. Explore the ‘Dino Diner’ too and discover what plants dinosaurs ate.
You can visit The Leon Garner Fossil Room, a collection of over 1,500 real fossils, as well as a touch-and-learn fossil table to be able to get up close to specimens millions of years old.
People never cease to be amazed by creatures that walked the Earth 66 million years ago! This is an experience that mixes learning with fun, with families returning time after time! The centre also boasts a dinosaur-themed soft play, cafe, and gift shop which are all open daily.
If you haven’t visited yet, the exhibition opens every day from 10am up until 4:30 pm. Visit Jurassic Discovery to learn some new facts about the dinosaurs, take some photos with a lifelike T-Rex, and maybe even get a hello from our baby T-Rex Astro!

- Jurassic Coast Cliffs from Seaton Beach
Nestled along the East Devon coastline, Seaton is a charming seaside town set in the heart of the Jurassic Coast – a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic cliffs, fossil-rich beaches, and 185 million years of visible geological history. The coastline is famous for its rich deposits of fossils and its links to the Mesozoic era, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
While more well-known destinations like Lyme Regis and Charmouth attract crowds, Seaton offers a quieter, more intimate experience of this ancient landscape – ideal for families, nature lovers, and curious explorers alike.
Between Seaton Hole and Beer, visitors can discover ammonites, belemnites and other prehistoric treasures, diving straight into Earth’s distant past with every step along the shore.
Seaton has become the go-to spot for dinosaur-themed days out – from immersive dinosaur scenes and fossil digging to tram rides and coastal fossil hunting. Walk the actual Jurassic Coast shoreline around Seaton – the only place along the coast and in the world where Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous rocks are all exposed.
If you’re new to fossil hunting, check tide times before heading out, wear sturdy footwear and never dig into the cliffs. Coastguards and other safety authorities advise against digging into cliffs, walking near the base of cliffs, and climbing on them. They emphasise that cliffs can be unstable even when they appear safe, and caution should be exercised at all times.
- Jurassic Adventure Play Park
This playground is a lovely dinosaur-themed park located next to the Jurassic Discovery on the Underfleet. The play park has a safari ranger truck that moves so kids can pretend to be in their own dinosaur world film. If you look closely, you can discover the fossilised footprints around the park for that little bit more of Dinosaur fun!
A really lovely park with equipment for all ages and keeps the little ones entertained for hours! Mini Trampolines, zip wire, tunnel, slide, picnic benches, all there for you to enjoy!
It can get muddy if it has been raining, so make sure to take wellies!
- Seafield Gardens Mini Golf & Play Park
Just a 5 minute walk from the Seafront at the top of Castle hill, Seafield gardens has a great Jurassic themed Crazy Golf attraction located next to a lovely play park for all ages.
The Crazy Golf is open during the weekends, bank holidays and the summer holidays.
Next to the Crazy golf and play park you can visit a Greenhouse housing tropical plants and tropical fish for free!
Surrounded by greenery, this beautifully kept area is perfect for families of all ages! The town’s iconic Victorian Clock Tower can also be found in this lovely park, which overlooks the beach.
- Seaton Labyrinth – Cliff Gardens
Take a stroll up from the seafront to Cliff Field Gardens and discover the Labyrinth. Constructed to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of the town, its 11 circuits and 60-foot diameter reveal 185 million years of evolution. Created by Seaton Town Council in partnership with Devon County Council and Fields in Trust.
Running alongside the path in Cliff Field Gardens is the town’s geological timeline. The timeline tells the story of the Earth, beginning with the formation of the planet many millions of years ago, and the evolution of life from its earliest stages to the emergence of humans.
A very informative & peaceful area that is educational for both children & adults. The views are also outstanding of Seaton & Beer.
