So you thought all dinosaurs died out millions of years ago? Not so! This workshop will reveal the truth about the distant relatives of dinosaurs that exist on Earth today – birds. Pupils learn about the early avian dinosaurs, and find out how and why they evolved into the feathered friends we know and love today. They then apply this to the concept of extinction today, looking at how animals have evolved to adapt to their environments and how they might need to adapt further as they face an uncertain future due to climate change.
