Tools at the ready! In this workshop, located in our large, covered ‘Dino Dig’ sand pit, pupils find out what it’s like to be a palaeontologist like Mary Anning. They will use brushes and tools to carefully uncover fossils hidden in the sand, and older children will be invited to record and sketch their findings – just like real scientists! For those with mobility problems, there is an accessible outer dig area, which is ideal for pupils in wheelchairs.
