Where did prehistoric creatures live? What made those habitats suitable for different species?
Beginning with an activity focusing on common animal habitats, this workshop will include a visit to the dinosaur exhibition and the Jurassic Garden to encourage pupils to consider how prehistoric habitats provided food, shelter and safety to dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Pupils will think about what happens to animals when their habitats are destroyed, in the context of the mass dinosaur extinction and will consider why it is so important to preserve and protect habitats today.
